Jimmy McNally |
Born in Dumfries, Scotland in 1988, Jimmy moved to the village in 1990 and spent most of his childhood playing for the various youth teams in the village before making the step up to the Men's Summer League (in which he still played as recently as last year before claiming he was retired).
Jimmy started coaching with the local kids, which he has now done for the last eight years and last year took the U-11's to a runner up spot in the Summer League and went one better in the U-16's. Since taking charge of the Summer League team last season Jimmy has brought through a number of players he has coached through all the youth teams into the senior squad, with Danny Jones, Luke Humphreys, Patrick Hinchcliffe, Craig Jones, and Chris Evans' all having played under Jimmy prior to making their senior level debuts. Jimmy was the Assistant when Llandyrnog won the League and Shield double the season before last and won the League and Halkyn Cup as Assistant of the Llandyrnog Winter League Reserve side. In his first season as manager for the Summer League last year Jimmy lead Llandyrnog to a runner's up side and will this year be looking to go one better.
Right Midfield - Craig Stephen Jones
19 year old Craig Jones was born in Bodelwyddan to a Welsh father and Scottish mother. The trainee welder is one of the youth players that has come through the age groups with Manager, and cousin, Jimmy McNally (although I am assured the fact they are family has nothing to do with Craig's selection). Craig currently plays Winter League football for Llandyrnog, where he has been part of the treble chasing reserve side again managed by his cousin Jimmy,
Predominantly deployed as a winger, Craig is adept at beating his man and providing good delivery to the Llandyrnog front men, although he has recently shown a desire to convert himself into a centre back following some promising CB displays for the reserve side. Craig is also becoming fairly well known for his penchant for talking to himself on the pitch. It is no longer uncommon to hear him complaining about his own performances to himself when running up and down the wing, even going as far as to question why he is even a winger!
I could do with a Thai bride like this one, especially if its into football!!
